We’ve created an easy to read pdf of the foods that are allowed (legal) and foods that are not allowed (illegal) while following the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. If you are unsure of an ingredient or food, please thoroughly go through the official SCD food list before eating something. It is important to get to know the list of excluded ingredients carefully, and always check labels when shopping. Sugar, gluten and additives such as MSG can be hiding under many disguised names, and seek the guidance of a health professional before shifting to a restricted diet.
